(But I promise I’m not a Karen—LOL!)

I’m a working mom of three amazing kids (two young adult boys and a teen girl. Yikes! So much I can unpack with that alone) and married to my high school sweetheart. My life is full, busy, and blessed—but I’d be lying if I said I’ve never felt overwhelmed, burnt out, or like I’ve lost a little bit of me in the shuffle.

Learning that it’s ok to have Jesus & therapy, plus the gentle, loving nudges from my husband (like, "Karen, you’re doing too much"), I’ve learned the power of saying no, prioritizing rest, and making space for the things that bring me joy. Whether it’s a quiet moment with my journal, a dance break in the kitchen, or laughing until my sides hurt, I’ve discovered that balance isn’t about perfection—

Karen Lanxon, a Christian counselor in Killeen, Texas who specializes in helping working mom overcome burnout.

Hey y’all! I’m Karen. A Texas Licensed Professional Counselor.

It’s about grace.

After over 20 years of working with families through the foster care system, education, and my church community, I felt called to counseling. I understand firsthand the struggles of balancing work, family, and faith while trying not to lose yourself in the process. My journey hasn't been perfect, but it has taught me a lot about resilience, grace, and growth. Now, I get to help other hardworking women who are carrying a lot and quietly feeling the weight of it all. Many of my clients are working moms balancing career demands, motherhood, marriage, faith, and the constant mental load of keeping everything together. They often look capable on the outside but feel depleted on the inside. They just don’t feel like themselves anymore.

As a Christian, wife, and working mom, I GET IT!

Together, we can embrace the messy moments, laugh a little (or a lot 😜), and discover the beauty of thriving WITHOUT the stronghold of guilt.
